RVR is a mechanical disturbance from a state of equilibrium that propagates through an elastic material medium. A purely subjective definition of sound is also possible, as that which is perceived by the ear, but it is not particularly illuminating and is unduly restrictive.

CrackHouse
1988-1993
David Gilden: guitar, bass, noise
Erik Amlee: bass, guitar, noise
Troy Hooper: drums, noise
Formed in Clear Lake City, TX by members of Black Cow and Devil Donkey.
Inspired by fellow Texan psychos Butthole Surfers, Stickmen With Rayguns, Culturcide, and Pain Teens, CrackHouse began as a power-trio belching primal riffs, brain-damaged solos, and fuzz-wah feedback. This soon degenerated into spasm-inducing atonal improvised free noise, mangled guitars blasting over cut-up Reefer Madness soundtracks. No music allowed.
